Ever since the firm was founded by college professor Frank Woodard, and one of his students, Al Curran, we have thrived by learning from and teaching each other. Just as Frank’s textbook, Industrial Waste Treatment Handbook, is used in classrooms across the country, his legacy of mentoring and teaching permeates Woodard & Curran. In that tradition, we offer students:

  • Summer internships;
  • Co-ops and other opportunities to work during the academic year; and
  • A formal mentoring program for all interns.

Testimonials

"Every week I got to work on or learn something new. I was involved with peer reviews, stormwater management design, construction submittals, client meetings, and site visits as well as learning how to use AutoCAD, HydroCAD, and GIS. While the experience was helpful with both my senior project and choosing a career path, it was the people I was privileged to work with and learn from that had the biggest impact on me during my internship. The employees of Woodard & Curran not only pride themselves on providing their clients with high quality projects, but also creating a fun and supportive place to work. Ultimately, it was the people that helped me decide to return here after graduation." - Megan, Engineer and former intern

"My internship with Woodard & Curran not only introduced me to the consulting field it also offered so many opportunities to help guide my career choice.  Throughout my internship I was given the respect and opportunity to voice my opinion during project meetings, meet clients and vendors, tour and assist in the operation of state-of-the-art treatment facilities, and be an integral part of a design team working together to achieve the same goal." - Justin, Engineer and former intern

"I had the opportunity to work with an amazing team with a lot of wonderful mentors. Being able to learn more about the career I had chosen from people that loved their job and wanted to share their knowledge made my internship more exciting and valuable." - Amara, Human Resources and former intern
