Why I Do What I Do
“I am a builder: of systems that work, of organizations that innovate and deliver, of relationships that produce more opportunities, and of teams that hang together to get the job done. No idea is too crazy to consider its merits, and many of these lead to solutions that provide the best fit for the client. I like to start with the big picture, imagine future outcomes, and work out details that will support a successful end result.”

Why I Work at Woodard & Curran
“This is a people business and I like nothing more than working with staff and clients. My thrill is teaming with them to look outside the box and find the right solution to their problem.”

Project Highlights

Contract Operations
Confidential Airline

Woodard & Curran has operated the wastewater treatment systems for this client since 1998 and has provided technical engineering assistance in many ways. For example, to meet water and wastewater reduction goals we designed an addition to the wastewater treatment system to further treat effluent sent to the city treatment facility. We also developed process water standards for recycle and reuse in aircraft maintenance and utility use. This project provided a short payback and also increased the organic treatment capacity of the plant, thus allowing the opportunity to receive and treat outside wastewater, thus generating income.

Wastewater Treatment Facility Design/Build
Confidenfial Resort and Casino Establishment, CA

When this casino expanded its hotel and casino, Woodard & Curran designed and delivered a wastewater treatment plant expansion through a design/build contract within a tight 8-month timeframe. The existing 0.1 MGD SBR process was converted to a 0.5 MGD MBR process to fit within an extremely small site. The plant is completely automated with SCADA and provides the flexibility to handle the wide range of flows and loads received weekly and seasonally. This project demonstrates our full range of wastewater treatment facility service capabilities and technical skills while meeting tight time lines.
