Project Highlights
Bottling Line Improvements Design/Build
Confidential Beverage Client
To modernize two plants, our client hired Woodard & Curran to provide design/build services for building modifications, packaging systems, utility systems, and electrical and controls systems for two high speed (1,200 bpm) PET bottling lines. We developed new packaging equipment specifications for the client’s next generation packaging lines from blow molder to palletizer. We also assisted them with the bidding process for over $20 million in packaging equipment, completed packaging equipment design review, and executed Factory Acceptance Testing for our client. The project included the procurement and installation of air compressors, cooling towers, chillers, and HVAC. Our commitment to details and client satisfaction resulted in the project being completed in record time and exceeding the client’s production goals.
Global Watershed Management
Confidential Beverage Manufacturer
In order to empower all its individual bottling plants to evaluate the sustainability of their watersheds, our client hired Woodard & Curran to provide technical insight and build an electronic management tool. We developed a web-based system that includes learning tools to inform personnel about key issues, watershed management tools, and risk-evaluation information on technical, environmental, and socio-political issues. The project was rolled-out to all divisions world-wide, and gives plant officials the information they need to make informed decisions.
Bottling Plant Design/Build
Confidential Bottled Water Client
Developing a new high-speed bottling plant, our client hired Woodard & Curran to provide design and construction management for the project. In order to meet an aggressive schedule, we delivered an integrated suite of services from project coordination to equipment procurement, and construction administration. The 450,000-sq.-ft. facility includes high-pressure air distribution systems, three 650-ton chillers, a significant steam distribution system, and utility piping for softened water systems.
